Preoccupied

So, I've been entirely too lazy and preoccupied to post anything lately. Well, that and nothing really interesting or exciting is going on. We're still in the househunting process, although we're getting close. I'm so excited to get out of California. We need this for our family. Of course we're nervous... there are so many variables and who knows what we'll do for jobs, or what house we'll end up with. Who knows where the girls will go to school or how far away the damn grocery store is. Of course if hubby has his way, we'll be an hour from the next neighbor. lol

    LOL He would love to be far away from people!! It's hard to find these days with people living on top of their neighbors. Plus if you decide to beat him on a regular basis no one will hear ;) HAHAHAHAHA

So I read... a lot. Whether with a physical book where I have to dog ear the pages to save my place, my Kindle Fire, or through Audible, I'm always either reading or listening to a book. What do you want to be when you grow up?

I'm sure that when I was young, I wanted to be a doctor, a lawyer, or something equally as glamorous. I never thought that well into my 30's, I would still be struggling with the decision of what career path I wanted to follow. While I am about 9 months away from my degree, I still have no idea what I want to do with it. I am close to earning my second psychology degree. With this, I have many doors that open for me and many opportunities to use it. Up until late last year, I was pretty clear cut on what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to do addiction counseling and help addicts overcome a terrible disease. However.... I believe it is when I became pregnant and my hormones had me crying over dropping a piece of paper and then in a complete rage because I couldn't get a lid off of a jar, that I had an epiphany. I’m sure many of you have seen this image online. Whether it be Pinterest, Facebook, or various other social media sites. What kind of feelings do you have when you look at this? My first reaction was….Yay curves! I’m a bigger girl, so everyone should accept me and find me attractive for who I am. I should be considered normal and that’s what every man should be attracted to. I’m not a small by any means, nor have I ever been. I have had my moments where I got down to an acceptable weight and my BMI was within “normal” range. Although, thin and Ellie have never been mentioned in the same sentence. I looked at the pic again and let the words sink in. “Real men”….. what is a REAL man? I thought all men were real.
